If you are interested in STEM or science communication you will not want to miss this double event!

FameLab, one of the biggest science communication competitions in the world, is coming to Glasgow. The competition looks for people working or studying in STEM to share three minutes of science with a public audience. It is open to anyone aged 21 and over and studying or working in science, technology, engineering, medicine or mathematics.

This year, Glasgow Caledonian University is hosting the regional heat of FameLab on Tuesday, February 20 at 7pm. Beforehand meet with others interested in science communication and find out what is going on across the city in 2018 at the STEM Social at 6pm. Both events will take place in the ReUnion Bar in the Students’ Association Building at GCU.

STEM Social

Join us for the opportunity to meet people from across Glasgow with a shared interest in STEM and science communication. At the Social you will have the chance to network and share ideas. Afterwards you are welcome to stay and watch the Glasgow FameLab heat at 7pm. Please register here, the event is free but spaces are limited.

FameLab Heat

FameLab searches the globe for the very best science communication. Over 20 countries now compete in this global phenomena and this is your chance to take part. The three minute talk can be on your own work, or just something you find interesting from the word of STEM. For more information or to register to compete see here.
